Meet My Family

I {might} be just a little prejudice, but I have the greatest family in the world.

David {Hubby}

I don’t know how I every hooked such a great husband and father, but I am so thankful. I’m sure there are times he regrets marrying an only child…as he’s always telling our son not to fall in love with an only child! Undecided But he loves me and always, always puts my needs first, and always has. Even when…especially when…I didn’t deserve it. He has worked so hard to create a life for our family that is a life of togetherness. As a family, we probably spend more time together than any family I know. He is very present and involved in the lives of our children. Field trips, dentist appointments, recitals, band practices, you name it. He makes himself available, and he is one of the main reasons we have three self-confident, Jesus-loving, awesome kids. No matter how often we tend to get selfish and “do our own thing,” he keeps us on track. And one of his best features…he makes us laugh. Every single day. Just when I think I’ve heard it all, he always does something else to make us laugh! I think he went straight from being the class clown to the family clown. He’s definitely a fifteen-year-old trapped in a forty-eight-year-old body! Most of all, he’s the love of my life. Crazy as that may seem! Wink

Miranda {Sweet & Sassy}

Oh my…where to begin! My first-born…now 18 years old. She came into this world at 6 lb 2 oz, 19 1/4 inches at 3:46 AM on April 7, 1994. She still has her nights and days mixed up. Undecided She was undoubtedly the happiest baby! She woke up every morning and just laid in her crib talking to herself until we went to get her up. When we would ride in the car, she would sit in her car seat and talk non-stop. We had no idea what she was saying, but she kept talking. David and I used to say, “I can’t wait until we can understand what she’s saying!” We really should have known, but she hasn’t stopped talking since. And if I didn’t know better, I’d think she was hard of hearing because it doesn’t matter how close you are to her, she talks like you’re in another state!  It’s quite endearing actually, but I’m sure that’s only because I’m her mom. Wink She has always been the brightest light in our house. When she goes to school this year, the house will never be the same. She is definitely a daddy’s girl, but that’s okay. Because her daddy is the love of her life, she will wait for the one man who God has planned for her. Together, she and David are always up to something in our house and keep me on my toes!
